The Settlement resolves a lawsuit alleging that some Kenmore Elite®-brand clothes dryers with Evenheat™ technology have malfunctioned because of a defect in the electronic control board.

Eligible class members who satisfy the Settlement requirements will be entitled to a cash refund or reimbursement for repairs or replacements of the electronic control board. Your rights are affected whether you act or not, so carefully review the information on this website.

IMPORTANT: The Settlement Administrator is unable to provide information on service requests. If your Evenheat dryer needs service and is covered by a Sears Protection Agreement or Maintenance Agreement, or by an extended warranty or service contract you purchased from another retailer or seller, please call the toll-free telephone number shown in your service contract to request service. If your Evenheat dryer needs service and is not covered by a service contract or extended warranty, please call Sears at 1-800-4-MY-HOME to schedule service. You will be responsible for the costs of any repairs. Please note that the settlement does not provide free repairs or replacements of the electronic control board and does not provide reimbursement for current repairs or replacements of the electronic control board.

FILE A CLAIM FORM	This is the only way for you to receive a cash refund or reimbursement for repairs or replacements of the electronic control board, based upon eligibility.	Deadline has passed
OBJECT	Write to the Court stating what you don’t like about the Settlement.	Deadline has passed
EXCLUDE YOURSELF	Ask to get out of the Settlement. If you do this, you will not receive any Settlement benefits from this lawsuit, but you keep your right to sue the defendants yourself regarding the claims in the lawsuit.	Deadline has passed
APPEAR IN THE LAWSUIT OR ATTEND THE HEARING	Send notice that you wish to participate in the Settlement either on your own or through your own lawyer. You can also ask to speak in Court about the Settlement.	Deadline has passed

The Settlement Administrator will not begin processing claims until the Court has finally approved the settlement and the time for any appeal has passed. Therefore, please do not expect to hear anything from the Settlement Administrator about your claim before spring 2008.
